'WELL SEASONEd' AUTUMN RETREAT
An Autumn Retreat for Times of Change, Transition & New Beginnings
Friday 2nd – Sunday 4th October 2026 - Little Seed Field, Near Ripon, North Yorkshire
A nature-reconnected retreat for people navigating life shifts, searching for clarity, or simply sensing that something needs to change.

When life changes, You need a place to pause too
Some seasons of life ask more of us than others.

Perhaps you’re moving through:
-
a life transition
-
grief or loss
-
burnout or overwhelm
-
family changes
-
relationship shifts
-
work or identity changes
-
health and well-being challenges
-
uncertainty about what comes next

Or maybe you simply feel that who you’ve been, no longer quite fits the person you want to be.
Or the speed at which you are living life, is leaving you never quite meeting yourself where you need to be, leaving you exhausted and wondering how to escape the rat-race.

‘'Well Seasoned’ is a gentle, yet bold - restorative and explorative, autumn retreat designed to help you pause, reflect and reconnect with yourself & Nature during times of change. Improving well-being and nurturing inner growth and clarity

Together, we’ll explore what it means to let go, rest, reimagine and move forward. Guided by the wisdom of the seasons and the natural world around us.

Because Nature reminds us that change is a part of life, we can embrace and reap opportunities from (even when times feel challenging or uncertain!)

A Retreat Inspired by the Seasons of Change

This retreat follows the natural rhythm of the seasons as a guide for navigating transition, rooting well-being and nurturing personal growth.
Rather than rushing toward “fixing” yourself, You'll be supported to create space to be where you are now and curious and compassionate of where life may be inviting you next
Flowing through the seasons together
Through, four phases, the retreat will support you to explore, reflect, transition and connect with:

Autumn: Letting Go & Harvesting
We begin in 'Autumn'
A season of noticing what’s ready to be harvested, released and recognising what this phase of life has taught you.

Through guided reflection, Nature re-connection and group workshops, we’ll explore this phase
Autumn invites honesty, grounding and gentle release.

Winter: Rest, Reflection & Wintering
As we move into Day 2, we enter the retrospective energy of 'Winter.'
A season that encourages rest, restoration and stepping away from constant productivity.
Together we’ll explore rest, regulation, creating peace in our inner critic, connecting with peace and restoration within.
This part of the retreat offers permission to slow down and reconnect with yourself beneath the noise of everyday life.

Spring: New Beginnings & Possibility
As the retreat unfolds, we gently shift into phase of 'Spring'
A season of curiosity, hope and tentative new beginnings. Not pressure-filled reinvention.
Not “new year, new you.” But small, meaningful signs of growth emerging in their own time.
Spring reminds us that growth begins quietly.

Summer: Joy, Energy & Carrying it Forward
On the final morning, we close the retreat with 'Summer' energy.
Through our final walk and reflective workshop, we focus on celebration and joy. Helping you carry forward your retreat insights, energy and intentions beyond our time together in the woods:
This final chapter is about integration.
Leaving not necessarily as a “new person” but perhaps feeling more like yourself again or replenishing those part of you that had been feeling chaotic, disconnected, or exhausted before your time here.

Why This Retreat Feels Different

After four years running a sell out retreat each June, more and more clients shared how tricky they find the transition from summer to Autumn and beyond that, into the depths of winter. Yet there is opportunity for you to be more deeply connected and aligned with yourself at each shift. So I decided to create a space for this. This isn’t about escaping your life. Or needing to wipe the slate clean and start totally all over again. It’s about creating enough space to hear yourself within it again, and creatively explore ways to make life more joyful, flow with more ease and tap into your inner courage when the shifts and transformations aren't linear.

The retreat blends:
-
coaching
-
ecopsychology (being part of Nature)
-
Reflective practice
-
Seasonal living
-
Nervous system awareness
-
Nature re-connection
-
Cultivating intuition, self awareness and trust
-
Actions and Intentions
In a way that feels organic, grounded, accessible and human.
Natural open conversations around campfires and meaningful moments in the woods.

The Venue & a cosy glamping cabin to book for yourself (or shared)

Nestled near Ripon in beautiful North Yorkshire, Little Seed Field is a peaceful, privately-held glamping venue that also serves as home to our WTMG woodland coaching space, where I began leasing back in 2023. It's genuinely special the kind of place where you arrive and immediately take in a view, and feel yourself transition out of the busy world and stepping into the calm wild and awe of the nature and fauna onsite.

Take a virtual tour of the venue online (note: the WTMG woodland area is a surprise for first-timers!).

You'll arrive Friday 2nd October morning and check out Sunday 4th October, leaving around lunchtime with a full weekend behind you and a lot more ahead of you.

What you'll take home
Everyone's experience is unique to them, but beyond the weekend itself, our retreat attendees consistently describe:
-
A genuine sense of restoration; not just relaxation, but a deeper kind of replenishment
-
Practical, seasonal well-being strategies they can actually use in their day-to-day lives
-
Clarity on what you want & need from life right now, as well as a vision for the future. A subtle yet clear renewed sense of permission to pursue it
-
Reduced anxiety and overwhelm, replaced with something more like... spaciousness
-
Hopefulness and a deepened connection to purpose and intuition
-
New friendships with people who have come together in this unique space (and regularly keep in touch after - if you want, no forced awkward WhatsApp groups you'll design your own way to stay in touch)
-
A different relationship with autumn and winter and the wider seasons one rooted in possibility rather than dread and low energy.
-
A rekindled love for Nature and some inspiring ways to ensure you keep the wild and wonderful in your life, beyond the retreat end.
One attendee's words we come back to often for our retreats: 'the perfect balance of activities and space for self.'
Meet your facilitator

Hello! I’m Jennie-Kate (JK), founder and coach at Where The Mind Grows. I’ve been helping people figure out this “being human malarkey’ for 15 years, helping individuals and teams to rebalance their minds and reconnect with their purpose, passion, and the ‘thing’ that makes them who they are.
Through a range of coaching and ecopsychology based approaches. In which we invite you to 'rewild' yourself.

'Well Seasoned' has come about as a Retreat, off the back of three years of sell out spring events (SOMEWHERE RETREAT) alongside numerous individual retreats and sessions where people identified how difficult the shift into the darker/colder seasons can be. This Autumn retreat is a chance to help you shift rhythms, reflect inwards and set goals, that don't have to wait until January.
I've been intentionally designing and tweaking my business and life for the last 8 years, learning from Nature. Sharing these principles with clients. Creating more ease and flow in life, resilience for the tougher times that life throws our way and managing to bring fun, joy and wildness into the demands, challenges and expectations of adult life.

'Well Seasoned is a space to be yourself, especially when you've felt compromised and lost for a while. Attention for and on yourself, without distraction. To rest, replenish and re-wild that creative, loving soul of yours, making room for more moments of joy, confidence and fulfilment.

FAQ'S
Frequently asked questions
I'm quite busy & worry if I come, I'll find myself even more busy?
That feeling? That's exactly why this retreat exists. The people who get the most from retreats like 'Well Seasoned' are usually the ones who almost didn't come because they were 'too busy' or felt 'guilty' to want or need some time for themselves. Rest and restoration aren't a reward for getting everything done, they're part of how you get things done well. Past attendees have described this weekend as 'more impactful than a year of good intentions.' with one retreater stating they felt 'more rested than a week on holiday"

I don't know anyone, will that be okay?
Most people arrive not knowing a soul. It's one of the things people are most nervous about and most grateful for by Sunday. You're all there for similar reasons, with a shared love of the outdoors. People come as strangers to these retreats and often leave as friends (as cheesy as that sounds its true!)

We're a couple, is this suitable for us?
Couples are very welcome. Please be aware that during group sessions, you may be encouraged to work individually and in mixed groups this retreat isn't couples coaching, but it can be a brilliant shared experience. If you have relationship stuff you specifically need space to navigate privately, do get in touch first and we can advise. We offer individual couples retreat and coaching packages which may be better suited

Is it suitable for my team or someone in my organisation?
Absolutely we've had organisations use this retreat as a reward or a reflective away-day experience, with leaders describing it as 'more impactful than training'. Get in touch if you'd like to discuss bringing a group, or if you'd like to explore a bespoke version, you can also check out our workplace well-being solutions here.

Will I have to share with someone I don't know
Not here no! Our sharer cabins are only available for people who know each other to book, usually shared between 2-3 people such as friends, family or colleagues. There are benefits to coming alone, but also sharing the time with people you know or making the retreat more affordable by 'bunking up' and gaining 25% saving before 31st July 2026 can be a bonus. You'll be treated as individuals throughout, even if you are having midnight feasts and nattering all night. This can be great as an option for friends who just don't get time away, but also need time for themselves too.

Will I have free time?
Plenty. The weekend is structured enough that you'll never be left wondering what to do, but spacious enough that rest and solitude are genuinely built in. Past attendees describe it as 'the perfect balance.'

Do I have to join in everything?
There's no pressure. You'll be encouraged and supported, but never forced. Some people use a session's time for solo reflection instead and that's a completely valid choice. What matters is that you're here, taking time for yourself.

I can't pay in full right now, can I still secure my place?
Yes. Use code DEPOSIT to pay 25% now, with the balance due by Friday 15th August 2026. The deposit only option is available until 31st July 2026. After that pricing increases by £50PP and you'd be required to pay in full. Note: deposits are non-refundable and defaulting on payment terms may result in losing your place. Please read the full T&Cs.

What do I need to bring?
Your cabins have real beds with bedding so no sleeping bag required. A good pair of walking shoes for woodland terrain is a must, plus layers for changeable October weather. As part of your booking you'll receive a welcome email sequence (sent around a month before the event) with a full packing guide. Plenty of time to get organised and get excited.

How do I get there?
The event is located at Little Seed Field, Castiles Farm, North Yorkshire HG4 3PU it is a remote location and therefore car travel is required or taxi from a station. Closest stations are Harrogate or Leeds, with a taxi between 30-60 minutes.
Bus stations are located at Ripon, Harrogate and Leeds, with buses to neighbouring villages but no direct drop at the venue. There is free parking onsite. The nearest airports are Leeds/Bradford, Manchester or Newcastle.

Ready to give yourself this space?
