Meet your facilitator

Hello! I’m Jennie-Kate (JK), founder and coach at Where The Mind Grows. I’ve been helping people figure out this “being human malarkey’ for 15 years, helping individuals and teams to rebalance their minds and reconnect with their purpose, passion, and the ‘thing’ that makes them who they are.

Through a range of coaching and ecopsychology based approaches.  In which we invite you to 'rewild' yourself.

'Well Seasoned' has come about as a Retreat, off the back of three years of sell out spring events (SOMEWHERE RETREAT) alongside numerous individual retreats and sessions where people identified how difficult the shift into the darker/colder seasons can be.  This Autumn retreat is a chance to help you shift rhythms, reflect inwards and set goals, that don't have to wait until January.

I've been intentionally designing and tweaking my business and life for the last 8 years, learning from Nature. Sharing these principles with clients.  Creating more ease and flow in life, resilience for the tougher times that life throws our way and managing to bring fun, joy and wildness into the demands, challenges and expectations of adult life.

'Well Seasoned  is a space to be yourself, especially when you've felt compromised and lost for a while. Attention for and on yourself, without distraction. To rest, replenish and re-wild that creative, loving soul of yours, making room for more moments of joy, confidence and fulfilment.

FAQ'S

I’m a leader/HR professional/CEO. Is this suitable for members of my team?

We’d love to see you and your a member of your team/leadership at our 'WELL SEASONED' Retreat! In the past we’ve had organisations use our retreats as part of a team getaway, reward, or team-building weekend  with leader's citing it as 'more impactful' than some training their team access. If you know that your team needs time to de-stress, or they’ve worked so hard that they deserve this treat, then get in touch. They can come and be part of this event (or we can even look to re-create it for your team exclusively!)

We are a couple, and wondering if this is a suitable event for us to explore well-being together?

Couples are welcome to attend. You may also find our solo couples coaching retreat experiences could be an alternative interest for you. Please select 2 people on booking your cabin. Please be aware for the event, you will be encouraged to work individually on your aims/intentions and may be split to work in mixed groups during your stay. There will be time to spend together, as well as get to know the wider group. If you have stuff going on in your relationship right now that you feel you need private space for, this might not be the best option for you.  Feel free to get in touch to explore before you commit to the event.

Will I have free time?

Definitely. The days are structured enough that you’ll never be left stuck wondering “What do I do now?!” but with plenty of space to take time to yourself to recharge, relax, and enjoy your own space. Past retreat attendees have shared how the event is the 'perfect balance of activities and space for self'

What do I need to bring?

As part of our welcome to retreat attendees, you receive a countdown email sequence which includes a detailed suggestion of what to pack (and gets people excited for the retreat!).  Your cabins have real beds and bedding, so you don't need to bring that. As we are outdoors, a decent pair of footwear for walking in the woods is recommended, and layers to cover changeable weather.  Plus all the usual bits for staying away from home. Our welcome emails (sent in May) will give you plenty of time to prepare for your stay.

Who are the shared bookings best suited for?

The option of the shared, cabin means you can 'bunk-up' and share the cabin space as a shared cabin for two people. This could be a friend, family member (adult) or colleague who you feel comfortable joining the retreat with together.

The main thing is that you all see the value of the retreats offering, and can see how this experience can enhance your individual well-being. (past years group bookings, even had some sneaky mid-night feasts and caught up on stories from each other's lives when they were all tucked up in bed!)

Will I be the only one there on my own?

Most people who come to our nature wellbeing retreats don’t know anyone. It’s cliché but you really will leave as friends. You’re all there for similar reasons, with a shared love of the outdoors. You’ll instantly have something in common!

Do I have to take part in everything?

You won't be forced to take part in anything if you feel unsure or need time to rest. There are no partial refunds, should you opt out of a retreat activity, but there will be no pressure either. You'll be encouraged and supported to make the most of the events and activities. In the past people have chosen solo and resting time, over a specific event. Whilst others have recognised that taking part in something new or unfamiliar can be amazing for confidence, development & growth.

Do I have to share a room with someone I don’t know?

Nope! Your room is yours unless you specifically book a shared room with a friend/family/team member.

I can't afford to pay in full, but really want to come!

You can secure your place with 25% deposit per person. Paying the final instalment of your retreat place by Friday 15th August 2025.

The shared cabins are also an opportunity to save costs. With the offer of a 25% coupon before 31st March 2025 to claim.

(**Defaulting these payment terms may result in you loosing your place - deposits are non-refundable** - See wider T&C's for more details )
