Your Home from Home in Nature during the retreat - Heather Lea Eco Cottage (Make it Wild)

 Heather Lea, nestles in the woodland nature reserve, within Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Beauty, North Yorkshire. Make it Wild are situated within easy reach of Leeds, Bradford, York, and Harrogate.

You will enjoy exclusive private access to their 150 acres, Bank Woods and Dowgill Grange which includes hay meadows, stunning ancient woodland, upland meadows and recently planted woodland.

Your accommodation in Heather Lea will be single occupancy of double or twin rooms. One room has an ensuite shower room, the other three rooms share a further bathroom and shower room.

There is a large well equipped kitchen, with dining table, and also an outside table for al fresco dining.

Heather Lea can comfortably accommodate a group of four individuals or for a group of up to 8 people, happy to share.

Nature - Nurture

Our well-being retreats are run in collaboration with Make It Wild at the beautiful Heather Lea eco-friendly holiday cottage and surrounding ancient woodland, in North Yorkshire. 


Over three days & two nights, the retreats are a restful space to slow the pace and take-stock. 

The luxury eco-cottage offers accommodation for up to 4 people in separate bedrooms (or for a group of friends/colleagues up to 8 people, who may be willing to share).  

Alongside our advertised retreat dates, we can offer bespoke retreat programmes, for private groups,  as part of your stay at Heather Lea.

At the heart of what we do at Where The Mind Grows is our strong affinity with the natural world. With nature as a co-facilitator for your retreat programme, 1:1 and group sessions will help you get back to yourself, in nature. 

You will be invited to learn from the wisdom and expertise of the natural world, a master in resilience. Helping you to create sustainable strategies for self-care & well-being.  

Understanding how conscious-living and nature connection,  can help calm your mind and brighten your spirit.

Evening - "Household" meal. 

Creative Space - a choice of self-guided resources will be available to explore or spend some time relaxing at the cottage. 

Day 2 

Breakfast + Self-reflection space. 

Morning well-being session - in nature. 

Natural Principles workshop - learning well-being from nature with JK 

Lunch & Creative Space - a choice of self-guided nature based resources will be available or spend some time relaxing at the cottage. 

Afternoon Workshop -Ideas, inspiration & momentum - enhancing well-being - rooting resilience.
