Supporting people, not just performance

Valuing Uniqueness & Creating a Thriving Culture

Purpose-led work can be deeply meaningful and deeply demanding too.

When teams spend their days caring, supporting, advocating, leading and creating space for others, it’s easy for well-being to slip down the list or feel complex to balance.

The dynamics and experience of your team, can hold or impact your team cohesion.

With more teams working remotely or hybrid, it feels like even more effort needs to happen to create connection.

And with time and resources ever stretched in purpose led and helping organisations it can feel so tricky to really see how to enhance well-being cultures for your teams or organisation.

Stress builds gradually but can peak intensely. Whether that's staff off sick or presenteeism cultures at work. A caring culture can also mean empathy across teams becomes an issue, with everyone too nice to really address the systems that are burning people out.

Capacity stretches thin. The nervous system forgets what slowing down feels like, working on high alert that can lead to changes in communication and connection in team members.

At Where The Mind Grows, I offer nature-led workplace well-being experiences that help people reconnect with themselves, each other, and the world around them.

Through thoughtful, grounded experiences that create space to breathe, reflect and reset.

Because healthy organisations grow from healthy soil.

Using a regenerative leadership and living systems approach to workplace culture. I help your team see themselves and their workplace as part of a complex ecosystem. Identifying challenges and focusing energy of realistic and impactful solutions for stress, anxiety, confidence and low mood and motivation.

Where the Mind Grows help organisation shift mindsets and delivery approaches. Resourcing people with skills and confidence for individual and collective well-being.

Asking curious questions about the culture that exists within your team and organisation and finding resilience strategies that align to healthy thriving workplaces, not perpetuate strain and burnout.

Nature Led Well-being for people doing meaningful work

I work with charities, voluntary and community organisations, health and social care providers and purpose-led businesses looking to support and empower staff wellbeing in more human and sustainable ways.

Together, we create experiences that help teams:

  • Reduce stress and overwhelm

  • Prevent burnout and compassion fatigue

  • Improve emotional wellbeing

  • Strengthen psychological safety

  • Reconnect with purpose and motivation

  • Create healthier ways of working together

  • Feel calmer, clearer and more grounded

Nature has a remarkable way of helping people become open, regulate and reconnect. Research shows that time spent outdoors can reduce cortisol levels, support nervous system regulation, improve mood and restore attention.

It also enhances our learning cognition ensuring that with calm and creative energy team members find easier access to problem solving and innovate mindsets. Ideal when it comes to creating solutions that can work beyond our time together in the woods.

Over nearly a decade of meeting with teams outdoors, I have seen how different teams can interact when away from the office, or closed in by four walls!

A different approach to workplace well-being

This work isn’t about forcing positivity or squeezing more productivity from exhausted people

It’s about creating the conditions where people can think more clearly, feel more connected and work more sustainably. Feel confident and enabled to maintain well-being even when the systems you work within add stress and strain to that!

Nature reminds us that growth doesn’t happen constantly. There are seasons for flourishing, seasons for rest, and seasons for rooting deeply beneath the surface.

Workplaces need that wisdom too, you're team will thank you when they can figure out how!

I took teams back into Natural settings back in 2019 and saw what a difference it made to the time spent together. Not only aiding calm and connection without it feeling forced, but also offering surroundings that activate learning and can even help your team with solutions.

This isn't just being in Nature, but learning from it too!

Back by the neuroscience and coaching resources that ensure its inclusive and engaging for a wide range of perspectives and needs within the team.

As one team member said:

'I came into this day, thinking it was going to be a load of woo, and I've left thinking wow!'
