'Hi I am JK, Coach, Founder and Facilitator at Where the Mind Grows.

'Reset to Reconnect' is 2+ years in the making.

I kept hearing clients, friends & people in my network complaining, despairing and frustrated about the disruption and distraction their phone was having on their life, mood, relationships and focus and energy.

Much of which I could relate to myself. using coaching techniques (for myself) I have completely changed my relationship with my phone and shared these approaches with clients too.

No one comes to coaching just to handle their over-attachment to their phone, but the topic just keeps coming up. And it's having real consequences for people.

So I decided this is where I would focus my attention and offering in 2025 Adventure.

So welcome to RESET TO RECONNECT a winter digital reset 'challenge' to help you redefine your relationship with your phone.

After all, when you are creating positive changes in so many other areas of your life or career. The fact that this little tech-blob in our palms ends up disrupting, distracting or leading us astray. Well that's just a shame isn't it

So I'm launching this with you in mind, a chance to restore healthier, more effective relationships with our phones and reconnect ourselves with what matters most.

Time for a change!

Over the last two+ year's I have been observing, listening, researching, practising and implementing techniques.

As well as letting myself fail and falter so I can REALLY help you help yourself get deeply connected with how to change your own relationship with your phone. In 2024 I left most of my socials for six months between July and December and spent the last 6 months rekindling a new relationship with those aspects of our phones that are so easily convincing of our time.

I realised where most people fail, is that they think its all about the practical doing of change, and overlook how important deep connection and understanding of your own self and situation is to help you, help yourself make lasting change work.

This isn't just a 'quit your phone' programme. No extreme approach, that turns out unsustainable and leaves you to feel like a failure.

Let us be real about it: For many of us, our phones are essentially a key part of our lives, work and family lives too.

They've offered us new opportunities, efficiencies, and ways of doing. But in the mix of it all, we've found ourselves overly connected with their persuasive ways and disconnected from parts of our lives that truly matter to us, like our own healthy habits, friends and loved ones connections, our values, or focused and purposeful work.

So how do we turn our mobile to friend from fo(ne) [see what I did there]?

To enhance your well-being, connection and possibilities. Not impact in a way that leaves your priorities, attention and energy out of balance so often.

This programme is woven with over 15 years of coaching and change-work experience.

Explore below to see how and why to join us for this Reset to Reconnect [RtR] adventure, with Where the Mind Grows (and me JK)

We begin this adventure together on Monday, 3rd November 2025.

To celebrate the launch, there are 15 places offered at a discount price, saving £100 on this year's launch price of £198. Prices increase to £326 for the 2026 cohort.

So could this be for you?
Who is it for, and not for!

It's ideal for you if...
  • You feel like you waste time on your phone.

  • You & your partner regularly text each other, in the same building/home instead of speaking to each other.

  • Your phone habits lead you to spend money on things you don't really need [impulse buys]

  • Your phone use can distract your attention away from important relationships (Kids, Partner, Family, Work Colleagues)

  • You find yourself scrolling aimlessly and lose track of time and focus regularly.

  • You are ready to put aside some time for the next few months to help you change your relationship with your phone.

  • You have a clear reason to change the way you and your phone 'hang out'.

It's not for you if...
  • You don't think your use of your phone is currently a problem.

  • You have no intention of making time to review and action the email prompts.

  • Someone else wants you to change your behaviour.

  • You use your phone for EVERYTHING to do with your work and don't have any plans to change that or find alternatives.

  • You DO actually love your phone more than your kids/partner/family member, and that doesn't bother you ;)

  • You live a hedonistic lifestyle and have no plan to quit this

  • You don't own a phone.

  • You don't have access to a personal email account.

Why is Reset to Reconnect different?

Digital detoxes have been emerging in recent years, recognising our over-reliance on phones and the distraction and disruption they cause. One challenge I found in my research & experience is that many approaches focus on complete phone 'fasts' – which feel impossible in a world where you need to stay contactable for loved ones, safety or work. Others are so technically complicated you'd need a PhD to understand them.

Or, in trying to reach the masses, they overlook something crucial: understanding your own mind, lifestyle and circumstances, and ensuring actions are relatable and adaptable to you – your learning style, belief system and the 'ecosystem' (environment) influencing your phone use.

In Reset to Reconnect [RtR], you'll be supported with an approach that focuses on beliefs and emotions, not just tasks and actions. So there's less of the 'throw your smartphone in a bin' mentality. I'm not asking you to revert to a Nokia 3310 (though you're welcome to if you fancy it), or wrap your phone in ball sellotape like someone I know's kids once did, to make a point.

This adventure focuses on beliefs, mindset, feelings, behaviours and intentions that are flexible, helping you understand and 're-determine' your own relationship with your phone for health, happiness, purposefulness and connection. A help-yourself approach – with me along for moral support, guidance, inspiration and a bit of occasional silliness so we don't get tooooo serious (and therefore probably bored) about it all.

And if you're new to Where the Mind Grows, it's worth noting that 'connection' is a strong theme in my work. Unlike other programmes, you'll also discover how reconnecting to nature could boost and amplify this experience, with a Nature's Note feature in each email as a bonus resource.

Focusing on your inner self

Many of the 'phone detox' approaches I have explored and taken part in focus heavily on 'tasks' and 'actions' but overlook the inner psychology of your beliefs and emotions and how these link to your relationship with your phone.

With a coaching approach this 'adventure' will help you personally explore thoughts, belief change and emotional regulation - areas that are core contributors to how and why you've been over-connected to your phone

Space enough to embed the approaches

Many of the 'detox' challenges are intensive, fast-paced with a fixed time to engage OR are an endurance with tip after action, after tip. Making it difficult to keep up or engage around 'life stuff'. Leading you to feel like a failure from the start and often get behind.

I'll be emailing you Monday, Wednesday and Friday for our core November 'adventure' so you have space in between to explore and adapt the 12 key approaches you'll explore in month one.

Helping you with momentum

One of the most difficult things to embed in change is 'keeping going' after the core part of a programme. After our November RtR core adventure, I'll be showing up with a weekly email throughout December. Monday Momentum to help you keep habits, patterns and tips for keeping that healthier relationship with your phone

PLUS a FREE BONUS 60-minute workshop online in January to help with reset of habits, after the festive period.

What you'll get with RESET TO RECONNECT

Welcome & Self-Reflective Questionnaire

When you sign up to the RtR digital detox 'adventure' you'll receive a welcome email with free resource to help you prepare and optimise your experience as well as a self-reflective questionnaire to complete. Helping you set your intentions and helping me get to know you better, so I can support an approach to the programme based on topics, issues and aims 'alive' for the RtR cohort community.

Emails Three x A Week with Programme Resources throughout November (12 emails)

Starting on Monday 3rd of November, you'll get three emails each week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) throughout the whole of November. With prompts & activities to help you better understand and adapt your relationship and habits with your phone. Reconnecting and re-aligning to what truly matter to you in life.

Four x Weekly momentum emails to help you keep your new

To help you make the most of our 30 day challenge, you'll receive a further month of 'Monday Momentum' emails to help you maintain mindset and habits throughout this wintery month. Including keeping things reconnected over the festive 'down time' period where there is more time for new approaches to go wayward!
